Lively Acres Campground sits near a lake outside Maple City, in northwest Michigan's Leelanau County, with Garey Lake State Forest Campground about two miles to the south. Sites are large, measuring 40 by 50 feet, each with a fire pit and picnic table. No shade yet. Young trees and shrubs are still establishing, so expect full sun and open sightlines between sites. Porta-potties are on-site and have been noted as clean; there are no plumbed toilets or showers. Verizon coverage is reliable. Electric hookups are available, and potable water hydrants are on-site. Reservations can be made by phone, including same-day. Book ahead for summer weekends.

Lively Acres is a brand new campground in the shadow of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in beautiful Leelanau County, Michigan, and only 20-minutes to Traverse City. We offer spacious pull-through and back-in RV sites, as well as some tent sites and two camping cabins, with some of the best stargazing around. It is all set on a reclaimed farm field that now hosts a 4-acre regenerative vegetable and flower farm, and the Lively NeighborFood Market with fresh local produce and groceries and grab & go foods.
