Best for oceanfront camping
Update - they are now a totally seasonal campground. You have to buy your site for the entire season to get in here unless you are renting one of the houses or apartments. When i a long term camper there told the owner i wound not be keeping my reservation for an apartment he rudely just hung up the phone on me. While i hold to my original review & would love to camp there again i will not be going back as renting the apartment or house from him is just way too expensive. Also be very aware of the owners attitude. Yes he can be nice but he is also rude & quick to judge & have a angry voice with you or your kids.
I have been camping here for many years (2007-2018). While they do not have a playground or anything else that has never been a problem. We open & close the beach every day we stay in the campground. You are there for the beach not a playground. The beach is small but has everything you could want. Low tide is a blast - rock climbing, creature hunting, sea treasure hunting, etc. High tide add jumping off of a large rock into the ocean instead of the floating dock. Your only limitation is your desire & imagination. The bathroom facilities are clean. Also central to lots of different kinds of shopping & attractions.
