Within the Kisatchie National Forest, Corral Camp serves as a staging area for the 36-mile Sandstone Trail system used by hikers, off-road vehicles, horses, and mountain bikers. The US Forest Service maintains this campground with vault toilets but no water hookups, requiring campers to pack in their own supplies.
The campground accommodates RVs up to 50 feet on undesignated sites along a gravel road. Pine and hardwood trees provide shade across the open camping area, which gets bush-hogged regularly for maintenance. Campers pay $10 per night plus an additional $5 daily fee for trail access. The site fills with hunters during hunting seasons, though space typically remains available even during busy periods. Generators are recommended due to the lack of electrical hookups.
