Plenty of water access!

The lake is just down the road from our campsite and there is a trailhead bathroom right at the boat ramp!

The campsite itself is pretty enclosed, but there is no fire pit or electrical access. It’s pretty simple and honestly it’s a really good set up! The campsite was small and perfect for just…

Very nice and growing fast

New campground with putt putt, playground, restaurant, cabins, driving range, and ice cream parlor. It was just built a few years ago and has already grown bigger and bigger. There are always RV’s there. Once the trees grow bigger, it’ll be awesome. Not too crowded. Clean. Basically a great place…

Classic state park campground

Everything was clean and exactly what you’d expect from an Indiana state park. This is a big campground so things are a bit cramped but we went on a rainy weekend so we had plenty of room. There is a pool in the park (closed to do COVID) and decent hiking trails.

Just ok

The Pennyrile state park campground is in need of a makeover. I didn’t see any sites suitable for a tent. I was car camping and slept in my SUV so no tent but I’m glad I didn’t have to rely on the sites being level. There were roots and rocks on all the sites. It is quite and relaxing. Electric and…

We love this campground

We visit this campground every year. There are about 45 sites. Camper sites have electric and water. There are tent sites also. There are about 15 waterfront sites, a playground, beach, boat ramp, and small bath house. They can accommodate all sizes of campers. All sites have picnic tables and fire…

Nice National Forest Campground

Good size campground with both electric and non electric loops. Good number of sites. Generally in need of update. Playground was really rough. Lake provides some fun opportunities and rentals are available. Paducah is pretty close and has anything you could need.

Nice place

Very nice campground. There is a small lake to fish in. Nice play ground for the kids. Also has many activities for the kids.
Will be going back, I really enjoyed it. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Solid Stop!

Most sites here are occupied by full time residents with very impressive setups. We were just passing through on our way from Denver to Myrtle Beach, but we were warmly welcomed by everyone we met for our one night stay. Kids enjoyed the playground and the reservoir is really beautiful. We wish the…

Narrow roads but beautiful views

We stayed on the waterfront and hag electric and water hookups. The road in is one way and to dump you have to go all the way around and back towards tHe campsites. You pull back ou to the entrance from there. The access road to the site is very winding and somewhat narrow for a large rig. The…

Crowded & Dated

We stayed at the resort July 9-12, 2021: Site A9. The campground was nearly full. That meant lots of automobiles and golf carts. It doesn't appear that the one-car rule per campsite is enforced. And drivers of golf carts are not very considerate.

The campsites are very close together. Facilities…

Top Flight State Park

This is a huge state park! There are lots and lots of campsites in this state park bordering the Wabash River. Sites are divided into smallish areas some for tents, some for RVs and some mixed. Lots of trees for shade. Bathhouses in each area with showers and toilets. Very clean & well…

Hidden gem

Great backcountry backpacking. The huge rock formation area is packed but the backpack loop is amazing. Great views.

You won’t be level, if you can even get into your site.

This place was laid out and built by someone who hates RVs. Seriously steep compound slopes, tight 90 degree turns, and hookups 100’ away on the wrong side of the site all make this place horrible for anything but a pop up. I saw at least four people worth reservations leave because they couldn’t…

Really buggy at night

Seemed like good spots near the lake but bugs were so bad in the dark when we arrived and decided not to stay. If you are camping make sure to get there before dark to set up.
