A little hard to find.

The coordinates on here will lead you to the middle of the road, however, if you keep driving, right before you hit the state park, you will see a campground to your left that is free free free. It overlooks some hills and is relatively level. Decent cell coverage if you need to work. Overall,…

Beautiful clean park

We stayed here overnight just as a stopping point on our trip, but we were pleasantly surprised! Nice pool, very clean park, lots of things for the kids. They have activities on the weekends. We stayed in a pull through site and it was not very level (we had planned to not even unhook from the…

Good campsite

Campsites are nice but electric hookups only at certain sites. Its a national campground so its beautiful with nice bathouses but not much activities other than hiking. There are a limited amount of sites that would accommodate a large RV, mostly tent sites. It is first come first serve with no…

Great State Park

Panther Creek State Park has a great campground for families to spend time at. For a lesser known state park, they have a lot of amenities. Playgrounds, hiking, horseback trails, mountain bike trails, tennis courts, disc golf, baseball field, volleyball, lake access, swimming pool (closed for…

Fun... Enough

Just a very small campground, seems to be family friendly with just enough amenities. There's a playground, sand boxes and paved semi level RV pads. I wouldn't come back but the place is very quiet. If you're into that...

Nice campground ( as long as you don’t need tv or much mobile)

Definitely needed WeBoost to make data functional. Verizon worked best of my carriers. Visible had zut coverage. ATT and Cricket were usable with WeBoost. Stayed on B-loop - really steep road. Limited TV coverage. Lovely foresty sites, pretty level. Elec & water. Bathroom excellent, very clean.…

Beautiful Campground

Great trails, walkways, and a lot of activities available (tennis courts, basketball, frisbee, etc.). The restrooms/showers were clean and well stocked. The only drawback was the slow, and sometimes non-existent, wi-fi service.

  • my campsite at the top of the hill.

Clean

We were only here for one night in the rain but it was quiet and the bath hall was spotless! Conveniently located close to highway 81 and town!

Decent.

I was a little underwhelmed compared to what I was expecting from camping at a national park. The positives are the cheap rates and there are bathroom and shower facilities. If you want old fashion tent camping the park does have some backcountry campsites.

The cons are the lack of actual…

Once leaving the pavement of the main road and traversing a well maintained gravel road for 7 miles you will reach the Lost Cove…

Great Mountain biking!

Very nice bathrooms. The sites aren’t the most private we’ve ever stayed at, but the mountain biking was so much fun we didn’t care! Hiking and biking was an A+. Great place for families because of the surrounding wooded activities.

First Snow Camping!!

Having a blast. We are spending 14 days camping here. Explored the area before the snow hit. Great hiking trails. Nice, large campsites, not too close to your neighbors...but fairly typical. Nice big bathroom ( 2 stalls - 1 handicap). Big handicap accessible open room shower. Had to put towel at…

Very Nice State Park

This park is right on the banks of the Nolichuckey river. It had nice trails for hiking. There is river access for fishing or launching a water craft. We were there in December when the weather was chilly and practically had the place to ourselves. The bathhouse was exceptionally nice and there was…

  • This loop is meant for smaller campers. If it was busy we would have felt on top of the other campers...luckily it wasn't.
  • Hiking trail along Limestone Creek.
  • They have sheep and donkeys at the park! This is where they stay.
