    C2T Ranch and Campground

    Absolute Diamond.

This place is an incredible continuously working Ranch since 1884. It is also the site of the first recorded Buffalo Soldier conflict out of Fort Hays (25 miles away). So history? Check! The views both day and night? Stunning! Our hosts? The best part of our stay. They were extremely accommodating and welcoming. We will be back. Soon! And I live in Detroit…

Great little spot but few toilets open

Unexpectedly pretty and quiet little lake. We got a good spot but some are close together and not private. Worst problem is only one outhouse a bit of a walk away for ALL THESE FAMILIES HERE ON EASTER SUNDAY. They definitely should have had the toilets opened ...lots of kids and where are they hitting the head?

    Nice and quiet

Nice place to stop over for a good night’s sleep. Dirt road was troublesome; lots of things shifted in the RV! Self pay station was available for those wishing to stay who didn’t book before 12 noon day of. Lots of open spaces beyond what was available to thru the website. Please cancel unused reservations, as a service to others! Very close to also visit Little Jerusalem and Monument Rocks.

    Secluded and restful

Plenty of primitive spots available on a Saturday in July - it was hot though. Looked like the electric sites were pretty full. Sites right on the lake and the bath house is nearby for many of the sites.

Very nice campgrounds on small/quiet lake.

The Circle Drive Camp Host was very nice and friendly! Campsights were gravel but fairly level - all seemed good. Previous reviews were not kidding about doubting your GPS! We were driving through flat terrain of large corn fields until quickly dropping down into the canyon very close to the state park. This is a pleasant place to rest a while. T-Mobile LTE coverage was spotty with only 1 bar (occasionally 2 bars). We will be back. Also a great stopover to/from Colorado.

    Hidden gem

What a great place to get off the road for the night. Don't come here looking for amenities, just a quiet place to stay. 50A service, great water pressure and sewer.

    It doesn't look like Kansas

This was our last stop in our Tour de Kansas. The landscape felt more like the west than the flatlands of Kansas we had come to love. We pulled in on a Thurs. The campground was almost empty. Buy Friday afternoon, it was pretty full. By Sunday afternoon, we had it to our self again. We got a pull through site with 30 and 50 amp. Only 1 shower house was open in early April. But, it was 4 individual rooms, not common area setup.

The lake was small but very pretty, easy to kayak, SUP and fish. There are a few short trails to hike. As other have mentioned, there are amazing sites within 20 miles. The Little Jerusalem SP is a must. In the area, we saw turkey, owl, lots of buzzards, geese, albino buffelo and more cows than i have seen in one place. On Saturday, the local car club drove their vintage cars to the park for a pop up car show. The people were very nice. Garden City is about 40 miles away and offers everything you could want, brewery, good food, shopping galore, etc.

    Sooth the soul

Quintessential plains of Kansas. Pure beauty as far as the eye can see. Blue water. Generously spaced and well maintained sites, though a lot of them have limited shade. Not an issue in April. Beautiful views with brilliant sunsets over the water. In early April, there were only a handful of other campers. Only 1 small shower house was open, but it was warm and clean. The swimming beach is large and looked clean. There is new looking playground equipment. The most precious thing I have seen, Pa's Lake. It's a little lake built for disabled and youths to fish in. They even have a giant fishing pole and the bobber is a light. There are cabins with great views. Plenty of day use areas, a large boat launch with a dock, so you don't have to pull your boat out in the evenings. I had hoped to paddle board to the cliffs, but 30 mph winds nixed that. If you want dark skies and solitude, this is the place. There is one small store just outside the entrance. Other than that, Hayes is the closest town, 30 min. by dirt road or 40 by interstate. The rangers were really helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Nice state park hidden away in the middle of nowhere, great stop on the way to Colorado , internet service four bars, no air TV, camp sites are spaced apart, nice play grounds for kids, shower houses modern, nice and quiet

    Private Tent Sites

First time in Kansas, had a quick one night stop during our road trip. This was a gorgeous lake tucked not far from the highway. The tent only sites were totally empty and we were the only ones in the loop. Gorgeous view, just up the bank from a small beach. Self check in was easy and the bathrooms were clean. Only complaint is that it got very buggy at night, but that's what you get for a spot so close to the water. I'd definitely come back again!

    Nice campground across from lake

We pulled up on a Saturday afternoon and the park was packed. Thankfully we had reservations. We were in site 1 which is very private and spacious and just a skip across the road is the lake. By Sunday evening there was hardly anyone left so we felt like we had the whole park for the next couple days.

We spent the hot park of the days kayaking in the lake. The boat house rents kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats but only on weekend. There are lots of historic places in the park that we visited and hiking trails along with Monument Rocks just 19 miles to the East and Little Jeruselum 19 miles to the west. There is no shortage of things to do. We will definitely return

    Clean and Peaceful Space

First time here. Camped in Circle Drive in our Popup. Friendly staff, clean grounds and lots of trees. Lake isn't deep - could stand pretty far out. Small beach area but you can get in water anywhere. Dogs not allowed on beach anywhere. Had a great day kayaking and staying in water to keep cooled off. Little Jerusalem and Monument Rocks aren't far and something worth seeing. You can rent paddle boats and kayaks and canoes.

Primitive camping is private, RV not so much.

We camped in a tent around the flood line of the Waters edge. The water was down so the water was way out in the distance. Restrooms were quite a bit away. Bugs were bad. Everything else was good. Large picnicking table and fire pit. Very private

Great Campground in Lake Scott State Park!

This park is a gem!!! Just a mile away all you can see is the flat flat farmlands of KS and then the road dips down into the canyon and you're in another world with a spring fed lake and shady cottonwood trees, mesas and rock formations. We camped in the Circle Drive campground and had a wonderful time. The campground was full and so very quiet. Sites were well spaced and ours was fully shaded. An easy walk to the swim beach and little bait shop and store open on the weekends. The lake is small and quiet with fishers and kayakers. We swam a lot, fished a bit even though the fish weren't biting, explored the dam, hiked a on the bluffs trail and made the short drive to Monument Rocks. There is a great disk golf course and ADA fishing docks with paved walkway access for those who need it. The campsite bathrooms were open-air and nicely cleaned once a day. The shower house and bathrooms near the swim beach were clean and well kept. We'll be back for sure! Highly Recommend!
