Popejoy Conservation Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Franklin County Conservation Board manages this day-use area along the Iowa River, but camping is not currently permitted at the site. The property features accessible vault toilets, a playground, and a community building for visitors exploring the river corridor.

Recent visitors confirm the no-camping policy remains in effect, though the park provides clean facilities for day recreation. The Iowa River flows through the grounds, offering water access for those interested in riverside activities. Campers planning overnight stays in the area should check Bigelow Park or other places to camp around Hampton for available sites.

Daytime Fun

This is a day use conservation only area.  No camping is currently allowed.

There is a nice accessible vault toilets, play ground, and it has the Iowa River passing through it.  There is also a very nice community building at the property.
