Grant Park sits within Grant Nature Land outside Auburn, Iowa, reached by a gravel road that one reviewer describes as looking "kinda like a trail" before it opens into the campground. The entrance signage can be easy to miss, particularly after dark, and at least one camper with a trailer found the approach difficult to navigate at night. Daytime arrivals generally have no trouble locating the ten numbered sites.
The campground has ten spacious, well-separated sites, each with a cement pad, picnic table, and a fire ring fitted with a flip-over grill. Vault toilets sit uphill from the sites. Several reviewers note the grounds are consistently clean and well maintained. Cell coverage runs to two or three bars of LTE on AT&T. Tick activity is worth noting, especially for campers traveling with dogs, as multiple visitors report frequent tick encounters during warmer months.
Pricing has varied according to reviews, with some visitors finding the sites free and others noting a nightly fee, so confirming current rates with the Warren County Conservation Board before arrival is advisable. The season runs May 1 through mid-October. A gas station is roughly seven minutes out and a grocery store about ten minutes away. Campers who want electric hookups or a more developed setup might look at River Oaks RV Park to the northwest.
