Linder Point Campground

Within the Coralville Recreation Area, Linder Point Campground operates under Army Corps of Engineers management as the smallest and quietest of four local camping options. The campground sits away from the main lake activity, providing a forested setting with both open and wooded terrain near Coralville Reservoir.

Sites accommodate RVs up to 85 feet on paved roads, though no pull-through options exist. All sites include electric hookups, with fresh water and a dump station centrally located. Stephanie S. notes that "Linder has a nice modern clean bathroom and shower house" that receives daily cleaning. Most sites offer open sky access for satellite internet connectivity.

The location keeps campers removed from boat ramp crowds and heavy fishing activity found at other area campgrounds. Within walking distance, Funcrest Dairy and Grill serves ice cream and food in a 1950s-themed setting. Campers can explore the nearby Devonian Fossil Gorge and dam area, while hiking trails and disc golf provide additional recreation options around the reservoir.

Access roads can be rough, and the campground lacks amenities specifically for children. Reservations are available for sites ranging $26-30 per night. The setup works well for RV campers seeking a tree-covered base camp with full hookups but minimal crowds.

Many campers appreciated the quiet, tree-covered setting and clean modern facilities at this smaller Lake Coralville campground. Guests frequently mentioned the peaceful atmosphere away from busier lake areas, though sites are back-in only for RVs.

Well designed and maintained small RV campground j

Natural setting with plenty of trees and located near Coralville Reservoir. Paved roads and sites. Ample roam for big rigs, but no pull through sites. Electricity only, with fresh water and a dump station nearby. Modern and clean bathhouse. Open sky at most sites for Starlink. No other amenities at this campsite for children, but there are hiking trails and activities at the nearby reservoir recreation areas.

Small but sweet

We spent a weekend here enjoying the lovely quiet secluded setting of Linder Point. This is one of around 4 campgrounds near/around Lake Coralville. It’s the smallest one and not right on the water, but also away from the busyness of the other ones which have the boat ramps and fishing activity. Linder has a nice modern clean bathroom and shower house. They were cleaned each morning. Near the campground within walking distance is a super cute old fashioned ice cream/food place called Funcrest Dairy and Grill. We had several root beer floats during our stay and enjoyed the fifties music and themed style while there. We also enjoyed exploring the Devonian Fossil Gorge as well as the dam/lake area near the other campgrounds. It was a very active fun place to walk around and see! We would definitely return to this area to camp again!
