Beaver Lake Campground

Accessible via gravel roads a couple miles north of Dexter, this lakeside campground provides full hookups and basic amenities on flat, open sites with water views. Campers report hearing beavers at night and spotting rabbits around the lots, while the owner assists with late arrivals and site selection. The facility includes restrooms and showers, though multiple reviewers note odor issues with the bathroom facilities that detract from the $32 nightly rate.

Last Resort

Campsites flat and open with water view. Bathrooms were subpar and smells worse than pit toilets. This was a last resort booking as we weren’t finding places open with a shower due to time of year.

Owner was very friendly, but campground not worth the $32 per night charge.

Simple for overnight

This campground is on the side of a lake. You hear beavers at night, see rabbits are on the sides of the lot. We came late around 8pm and the owner helped us fill the form and pick our spot. The only drawback are the restrooms which were ok but smelly.

Small, private

Couple miles north of dexter, on gravel, next to public lake, hunting reserve. Would serve as overnight, or for construction worker's site. I scouted as not far from home, decided not worth effort to try out.
