Description
The Yankee Fork corridor cuts through central Idaho's Challis National Forest at around 6,800 feet, and the spur meadows off Yankee Fork Road offer the kind of quiet that makes it easy to linger longer than planned. Multiple pullouts along this stretch accommodate separate parties, with stone fire rings already in place and creek sounds drifting through the open meadow. Firewood is accessible nearby, and the creek's shallow edge invites casual wading.
