Big Elk Creek Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Operated by the US Forest Service within Targhee National Forest, Big Elk Creek Campground runs from May through September with nightly rates between $10 and $40. Sites accommodate rigs up to 45 feet and electric hookups are available, making it a workable stop for RV travelers. Cell service is limited here. Jackson is roughly a 45-minute drive, which makes this a reasonable base for day trips into Wyoming. Palisades Reservoir sits a few miles south for campers interested in water access. The campground has multiple sites, some with a degree of separation from neighbors, and pets are welcome. A good fit for RV travelers and tent campers who want hookups without driving far into the backcountry.

Easy access to Jackson

Plenty of spots, semi secluded spots. Sunday morning there was a church service and could hear the music perfectly from a good distance away. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. Jackson was about 45 min drive
