Shade and relative quiet define the experience at Spring Creek Campground, a drive-in and boat-in site managed by the US Forest Service within Salmon National Forest. Set near both a creek and the river, the campground provides drinking water, toilets, and picnic tables, with campfires permitted and pets welcome. Wildlife in the surrounding corridor includes bighorn sheep, whitetail deer, and bald eagles. Late July and August bring triple-digit temperatures with little breeze, so late spring or early fall visits tend to hold up better. The season runs March 1 through November 30, and nearby Salmon River Dispersed — Salmon National Forest offers a looser alternative roughly a mile to the east.
