Spring Creek Campground
About
National Forest
5 developed campsites and numerous undeveloped sites on the Wild and Scenic Salmon River, upstream from its confluence with the Wild and Scenic Middle Fork. The area is easy to explore-- it's webbed with dirt roads, jeep trails, and single track trails. Fishing in the river for cutthroat and rainbow trout, steelhead and whitefish. Put-in for a 10 mile run with Class III rapids at the popular day use area. Take-out at Cove Creek.

Hot, hot and hot
I would not recommend end of July/ August. Temps 100 and no breeze. Plenty to see if traveling in vehicle like bighorn sheep, whitetail deer and bald eagles. Recommend a visit to the firefighter memorial at Indian river FS training camp.
Excellent campground!!
Best camp hosts I've ever seen! Quiet, mostly shady, not too crowded.
