Country Lane River Resort

Country Lane River Resort is located on the CDA River near Kingston, Idaho. The resort has its own down-home charm and is convenient for floating the river. It has a restaurant and bar, river float shuttle, full hookup RV sites, and tent sites. The staff are helpful and friendly too.

Unfortunately, it's a crowded, inebriated mess on the weekends. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a drunken, dehydrated float down the river like anybody else, but I also like to retreat to the privacy of a quiet campsite to sleep off the day's indulgences. The problem with the Country Lane Resort is that there's precious little privacy and the noise rarely drops below the level of a Toby Keith concert. 

It's also highly likely you'll see some drunken fool flying a confederate flag on his UTV. This actually happened the weekend I was there. I know it's Idaho but come on people. 

The Country Lane Resort is a mashup of the Double Duece roadhouse, a Hank Williams, Jr. concert, and a MAGA rally. Certainly this will appeal to some campers, but it's probably not for most. 

Despite the great staff, the Country Lane Resort is just too damned loud and drunk to be any fun for someone looking to relax in the peace and quiet of the great outdoors.
