Free and drive-in accessible just off Highway 93 S, Colston Creek Campground is a small BLM dispersed site along the Salmon River in central Idaho. It has roughly four sites, most with direct river access, fire rings, and a decorated vault toilet stocked with toilet paper. A small boat launch ramp makes it functional for paddlers and anglers. Highway noise is present but reported as minor. RVs up to 30 feet can find workable spots. Anglers and paddlers exploring camping near May will find this a low-cost base worth considering, with nearby Deer Gulch offering another option along the same corridor.
