Campground is 48 acres in size and consists of open field, rolling hills, and woods. Pitch your tent wherever you wish. Can drive right to your tent site. Plenty of open room in the field for dry RV camping. Gasoline, diesel, full grocery store, several restaurants, auto parts, and hardware store all within three miles.
We have two full hookup RV site available. For tent campers, two community 110 outlets for charging phones, etc. are available. A community water spigot is available for tent campers and dry RV campers.

The McIntosh Reserve Park is 527 acres packed with history, trails, a splash water park, pavilions, and sweeping frontage on the Chattahoochee River. The park is a favorite of hikers and equestrian riders. Park Hours McIntosh Reserve Park is open year round except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Park office hours are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. Equitopian Escape Farm is a 20+ acre private farm. The camping experience includes the opportunity to hang out with the horses and donkeys, and free ranging chickens. There are also walking trails and a narrow creek in the woods.
This is for primitive tent camping or if you are passing through with your RV, horse trailer, or other mobile camper there is plenty of parking and space to camp out and enjoy nature and the farm animals. there is an outhouse on the property.
There is no RV hook up or electricity available.

We’ve been told by many of our visitors that the Georgia International Horse Park is one of the best kept secrets that they have found with regard to RV parks east of Atlanta. The GIHP offers a full-service RV park for the convenience of our guests. Fully equipped with water, electric and sewer service, these 140+ sites are located near the Stable Complex and the Walker Arena Complex. Full-service shower facilities are also located within the RV Park and their use is included in the daily RV site rental fee. Guests planning to stay overnight in a RV for an event or show need to contact the event promoter directly for reservations. Individuals looking to overnight at the Horse Park, but not associated with a particular event, may contact our office directly. Due to limited capacity and show schedules, you must call in advance (770-860-4190) and reserve your space. Availability is determined by scheduled events. This place was great. We arrived after hours and spoke with the camp host he told us we can pay online or in the morning. We drove all day in the sun and due to hurricane Helene aftermath we were limited on where to stay. It was nice to pull in and it be nice and cool with the trees. The stars popped out at night and could be seen through the tree tops. Showers were hot.

Beautiful campsite, just a few neighbors, tons of flat space and a few fire pits. There are hunters around and we heard a good deal of shots. Saw some deer on a walk. It was quite hot but surprisingly not that buggy.

CG Manager drove through periodically and was very friendly. I met him on the trail to the falls and took the time to explain the factory that used to be there. Very interesting. Most sites are on the water. Has toilets and showers. I stayed for 3 nights and had a great time.

We arrived late at night and didn’t see how to pay for the campground so we just set up but the next morning, the campground manager, Raymond, stopped by to welcome us and take our payment. He was very nice and helpful, keeping up with the grounds and the bathroom, and answering any questions we had.
We lucked out and got a waterfront site (site 4) due to the fact somebody checked out early. We had a happy little bonus of getting to watch the beavers play in the river early in the morning. Each of the sites have a raised gravel platform for tents, a grill, trash can, and a fire pit.
The campground was full on Saturday when we arrived but cleared out during the week.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back if we ever come back to the area.

On a final note: this campground is definitely set up for primitive camping, focusing more on tents. We have a 10 foot trailer. We were able to back in to our spot with no problem. The site was not level but that wasn’t a big deal for us in our rooftop tent. We didn’t check out the other sites but an RV would probably have a hard time setting up here.

TravelerSuch a great campsite for very cheap. They have many water front campsites with a lot of room. They have a box platform for your tent. It could easily fit my 8 person tent. They have fire pits and a main bath house with a shower. I will say that you should probably bring flipflops for the shower because it doesn't look like it's been cleaned in a year but it's nice having a option for one. That was the only downside to the property but it's only 15 dollars a night so I can't really complain

Small, family owned campground in a rural area has a comforting, relaxing atmosphere where you feel like family. We are first time RVers and were nervous about our Shakedown trip. Rob and Matt walked my husband through every step with “insider” tips. Mindy was so welcoming and gave me lots of good ideas while the guys set up. She is also the best hostess organizing food, fun, and friendship by the pool. We will definitely be back!!!
RangerMeh I have mixed feelings for hard labor. This is actually my first time camping at their campground. I did find the camp area pretty nice. I did have concerns about some of the trees as I recall last year they camp host had an incident. My issue for me was I used a ground tent this time versus my roof top tent or camper. Man my site choice was horrible! Site 24 turned into a pool. I had to move my tent to RV vehicle parking area. I did consider trenching the site but didn’t want to cause property damage with the rail road ties. Other than the flooding of my site and making adjustments not a bad experience. Just noticed a lot of water issues throughout the park and runoff.

RangerNow we’ve never stayed here for our rv trips however we’ve revisited over the course of maybe 5 years for our family reunion and yes over the past two to three years they’ve remodeled the cabins. Yet, this year the newly remodeled cabins were in need of maintenance and repair. I mean come on. The conditioned building we rent every year has even got mold in it and we had a family member clean the kitchen for two hours in preparation for our event. We plan on changing locations finally as it seems the staff and rangers at Hard Labor are just riding their paycheck.
TravelerThis campground has a great rural state park vibe. If you’re weekending -it’s nice. The sites are pretty private & woodsy. Kids can ride bikes everywhere, play some putt-putt or on the playground, go fishing or take them to the lake beach (just a short drive away-5 minutes).
If you’re into golf-looks like a nice course.
If you’re planning to remote work from here-forget it. We had absolutely no service, even weak cell service. You’re also away from town/groceries/restaurants.
Bottom line is it’s a fun place to weekend/feel pretty remote but not ideal for full timers who still work/school online.

Great location if you're driving through or visiting Atlanta. It's just off the interstate, and there are plenty of restaurants around. Also there's a Dollar General at the end of the road if you need anything.

Everything is well maintained from the roads, campsites, unpaved trails, and bathrooms. I was impressed with how clean everything was despite being a campground.
Trails are great for running or just nice stroll, and there is a small lake onsite that could be used to fish with convenient benches around it.
The only downside would be that the campground is close to a highway, so occasionally there will be loud subs or burnouts, but not to the point that I’d remove a star.
Overall great experience and will be camping here frequently.
