Rocky's Convenience Store and Campground

Along US 98 in Perry, Rocky's Convenience Store and Campground combines roadside accessibility with practical amenities for travelers and extended-stay campers. The property features both pull-through sites for short-term visitors and back-in spots with shade from oak trees draped in Spanish moss, plus a small lake with fountain.

The campground caters primarily to RVs with full hookups, though tent camping is available in an open area rather than designated sites. "Grounds and building clean and quiet," notes Kathy S., despite some road noise from the adjacent highway. The attached convenience store provides fuel and supplies without leaving the property. Clean restrooms feature two roomy showers with hooks and benches, while a laundry facility offers two washers and two dryers at $2 each.

Tent camping runs $9 for primitive sites, with electric hookups available for an additional $10. The facility stays busy with motorcycle travelers and RV users heading to southern Florida, though the atmosphere remains relatively quiet. For those exploring the broader region, camping destinations around Wacissa offer additional options northwest of Perry. Rocky's serves campers who prioritize clean facilities and convenient highway access over hiking trails or recreational activities.

Campers regularly cited clean facilities, spacious shaded sites, and affordable pricing as key strengths. Minor road noise was mentioned but most found the campground quiet and convenient for overnight stops.

Bare Bones Camp

Beautiful, spacious lots. Shady oak trees dripping with Spanish moss and lake with fountain. Short term spots are pull through. Longer are shady, back ins. Laundry room: 2 washers, 2 dryers, $2 each. Bath house: 2 roomy showers with hooks and benches. 2 toilets. Grounds and building clean and quiet. Ideal for us, not for those looking for hiking trails or hot tubs.

Great spot!

I stopped here for a quick overnight to tent camp off my motorcycle. Very easy to get in and out. It is nice having the convenience store right there. There are no designated tent sites, just an area to set up in. Mostly RV’s. There was only one other tent set up. Super quiet campground. Clean facilities. Will definitely stay again if I am in the area.

Rocky's Campground

Stay here a lot on my way to southern Florida on the Harley. Cheap, good clean restrooms, gas station store. Some US98 road noise, but not too bad. $9 primitive tent, add $10 for electric in the tent.
