Within Ocala National Forest, Big Scrub Campground provides drive-in access for campers traveling with pets. The US Forest Service manages this established campground year-round, making it accessible during Florida's milder winter months when many other southeastern destinations become less appealing.
Campers can find pet-friendly camping areas around Ocala National Forest for additional options in the region. The campground's location puts visitors within the forest's extensive trail system and scrub habitat. Plan to bring extra water and sun protection, as the scrub environment offers limited natural shade.
