Blue Sink

Most beautiful place to stumble upon. You may need ATV or creative backpacking to get there now. The Forestry Service recently chopped down trees and covered the easy access roads.

Remember to stay on designated OHV trails and obtain any required OHV permits for Ocala National Forest before your visit.

Where is Blue Sink located in Ocala National Forest?

Blue Sink is a hidden gem located within Ocala National Forest in central Florida, near the community of Altoona. This secluded natural feature sits deep within the forest, somewhat off the beaten path. The exact location requires either an ATV or willingness to hike in from the nearest accessible roads. For precise directions, check with the Ocala National Forest ranger station before your visit.

What swimming opportunities are available at Blue Sink in Florida?

Blue Sink offers a stunning natural swimming hole experience in the heart of Ocala National Forest. The sink is known for its beautiful, clear waters nestled in a natural forest setting.
