Electric, water, and sewer hookups make Bear Lake East Primitive Group Campsite a full-service option within Blackwater River State Forest near Milton. The primitive designation refers to the group camping format rather than amenity limitations, as sites include all three utility connections for RVs.
Forested terrain surrounds the campground, with both Bear Lake and the Blackwater River providing water access nearby. Campers can fish in these waters or explore hiking trails that wind through the state forest. The drive-in access accommodates RVs seeking hookup camping, while pets join their owners at this reservation-based facility. For additional camping choices, Bear Lake Campground sits less than half a mile away within the same forest system.
