Windy Point Site

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Wind lives up to the name here. This BLM-managed site near Bond, Colorado sits close to the river and gives campers a choice between two distinct setups: a lakeside area with composting toilets and a large pavilion, or a fireside area with vault toilets and a group fire pit. Access is boat-in, hike-in, or walk-in, and the approach is rough. At $232 per night, reservations fill fast, especially on weekends. Weekday availability tends to be more reliable. Pets are welcome, and campgrounds near Bond include nearby alternatives like State Bridge for campers weighing options. This site makes the most sense for groups who need a pavilion or fire pit setup and can plan well ahead.
