Long long drive

John M. nailed it. Road is severely damaged. Massive holes and at maximum speed you can go 5mph. Very cool spot and you will be completely alone. Be aware of wildlife as we had a couple moose in the area. They do not play games and we had to stop setting up camp because a bull approached. Cool spot but the road is absolutely wild.

Turn around unless...

Highly HIGHLY reccomend a vehicle with REAL high clearance. Dont bring your subaru. Dont bring your stock 4runner. Just dont. The holes here to get to a single campsite are massive and consistent the entire way through. Imagine if bombs dropped during one of the wars and landed in a field in front of you. The road looks like that, but narrow and full of mud and cow poop.

Good spot though.

Seriously.. we ended up taking the spot from a couple we had no idea about because their crosstrek got damaged and stuck and they were apparently dealing with that all night, overnight on one of the offshoots roads. We passed right by them and had no idea , and they had no idea of us either. They came to our camp the following morning seriously muddy and defeated. "AWEEEE NOO, we got stuck and finally got out and just wanted to see if our luck turned and maybe the spot was available"

You drive from the big city hoping to find a good spot... only to find panel damage and a night ruined unless youre very very prepared to make it and very very possibly be disappointed someone beat you there.

Again good spot though. But for what you go through?? Seek another location... turning around is not easy.
