Description
Spread across open high-desert BLM land in Colorado's San Luis Valley at roughly 7,900 feet, this dispersed area off BLM 5133 (Wagon Ruts Road) offers a wide network of flat, roomy sites along a network of gravel tracks near the Loma de San Jose Trail. Cell signal is strong near the entrance and remains usable through much of the area, aided by a nearby tower. Access is via Old Spanish Trail off US-160 — note that County Road 44 has been closed seasonally, and standard mapping apps may route incorrectly; look for the large brown BLM sign roughly a mile west of CR-44.
