Description
Along the San Miguel River in southwest Colorado's BLM country, this small cluster of sites sits beneath cottonwoods where red rock cliffs rise on the opposite bank and the river drowns out any trace of road noise. The access spur is narrow and rough — passable for passenger vehicles and vans with care, but too tight and brushy for RVs or large trailers. With only three or four spots (one concrete pad, a couple of fire rings, and direct river access for swimming and fishing), the place fills fast; weeknights often deliver solitude that weekends can't.
