Description
North Rock Creek's subalpine drainage on the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest holds these numbered dispersed sites at roughly 9,360 feet, with mountain views opening up along the access road. The approach is an unmaintained dirt road with ruts and sizeable holes — passable for high-clearance two-wheel-drive rigs if taken slowly, though trailers and larger vehicles will find the tight, bumpy conditions a challenge. A trail departs directly from the area, and the sites share the corridor with forest service and law enforcement patrols; expect company on summer weekends and mosquitoes through midsummer.
