Description
Arapaho National Forest's Jim Creek corridor runs through a forested river valley just outside Winter Park, with the creek audible from most pullouts and the James Peak Protection Area rising to the southeast. The access road is a well-maintained dirt surface suitable for two-wheel drive and large rigs alike, with numerous grassy and gravel pullouts spaced far enough apart to feel uncrowded. Cell signal is reliable, some pullouts have fire rings, and moose are occasionally spotted in the area.
