Description

Arapaho National Forest's Jim Creek corridor runs through a forested river valley just outside Winter Park, with the creek audible from most pullouts and the James Peak Protection Area rising to the southeast. The access road is a well-maintained dirt surface suitable for two-wheel drive and large rigs alike, with numerous grassy and gravel pullouts spaced far enough apart to feel uncrowded.
