Description
San Isabel National Forest's Halfmoon Creek corridor offers a large spread of dispersed sites at roughly 9,800 feet in the Sawatch Range, tucked below the approaches to Colorado's highest peaks. Sites fan out along the creek beyond the Elbert Trailhead, with many sitting directly on the water. Halfmoon Road is mildly washboarded but passable for a wide range of rigs.
