FR 477.1 Dispersed Sites — White River NF

Description

Deep in the forested gulch off McCullough Gulch Spur Road (FR 477.1) in White River National Forest, these five designated dispersed sites sit beneath a dense tree canopy just south of Hoosier Pass, within easy reach of Breckenridge. The access track is rough and rocky — site paths are short but unleveled, turnabouts are tight, and several of the upper sites demand high clearance and four-wheel drive — making this best suited to tents, compact vans, and small rigs willing to back out. Note a recurring winter closure that gates off motor vehicle access from the county road; the corridor is busy with hikers during summer, but the sites themselves stay reasonably private.
