Description
Cub Creek's subalpine corridor in Arapaho National Forest just outside Winter Park hosts the dead-end of FR 128.1C, which offers several long pull-outs alongside the creek with open sky overhead and filtered views of the ski resort through the trees. The gravel road is well-maintained and accessible to any rig — including 2WD — even in packed winter snow. Wildlife activity in the area is high, with bears, coyotes, and moose sign reported regularly; fire rings are on-site and the resort village is only a few minutes away.
