Colorado Plains RV Park

I am from Tennessee and have been working in the Kit Carson/Cheyanne Wells area since July of 25. I have had the privilege to stay here at Colorado Plains for the duration of my stay. It is very open and very peaceful here aside being lulled to sleep by all the passing traffic. It is very safe here and very accommodating for not only animals but families also. Every campsite has septic outlets and also has 25/50 hook up for electric. The water Spicket here are heated for those cold nights. I have my own washer and dryer, but the park also offers giant commercial front load washer and dryers and the times that I have visited the restrooms. The showers toilets and sinks were impeccably clean. I would have given it a perfect five star, but the Wi-Fi went out on months three of my stay here but coming at the time that I am leaving in March 2026 is fiber so that will be addressed the landlord. Here is Joel Maxey and he is a God-fearing man who will do anything and his power to help you if there are materials you need for your camping experience he will go out of his way to get them. If you come during Kit Carson‘s football or basketball season, he will even take you to a game. This has been nothing short of a wonderful stay for me and I would recommend to anyone who is passing through or staying Long-term. Oh, by the way, he also offers pull through campsites or regular back into sites and every one of them are graveled and level.
