Description
San Juan National Forest's Lower Boggy Road corridor rolls through open high-country meadows in southwest Colorado, and the pullouts along FR 258 offer some of the most spacious dispersed camping in the area. This particular cluster sits directly beside Bean Reservoir — one of the few spots on the road with water right at camp — and has enough room for large groups while still feeling tucked away from the more exposed sites nearby. Free-range cattle roam the area, and wildlife including black bears have been spotted near the reservoir; no cell service reaches this stretch.
