A must do!

This place is one of my favorites. The campsites are very well taken care of. Camp host is nearby and helpful if you have any questions or concerns. Perfect location for paddle boarding, kayaks and fishing. Sites range from tent camping, Trailer, on-site Tee Pee's, cabins to glamping. They…

We love Arapaho Valley Ranch!

There are community fire pits, stocked trout pond, access to the river, acres of woodland, and Colorado’s smallest bar! We love the vibe at AVR and the owners are amazing. Occassionally you can catch live music and there are several historic buildings they are restoring. We have a few friends that…

About This Campground

Arapaho Valley Ranch is a gorgeous family owned, guest ranch located in Colorado’s beautiful Grand County.

We are located at the base of the Indian Peaks Wilderness within a 2 hour drive from Denver. We are a seasonal guest ranch, open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather dependent.

AVR has a very rich Colorado history and has been helping people enjoy the outdoors since the early 1900’s! There is a long standing history of families and friends that have spent their summers at AVR creating lifetimes of memories. You can feel this vibe as soon as you enter our gates!

Our ranch is surrounded by the Arapaho National Forest and is nestled in one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. This area features hiking trails, waterfalls, and historic steam engines from the old town of Monarch. We have our own private hiking trail that leads to our“kissing swing” overlooking the headwaters of the Colorado River Valley.

Arapaho Valley Ranch offers upgraded outdoor accommodations AKA “Glamping” along with beautiful riverside campsites for those of you that like it old school.

Our 30 Riverside campsites sit along the South Fork of the Colorado River, many of them paces away from the water, some overlooking the river valley upon a cliff and others tucked away in the shade of our 40 foot lodgepole pines through the property.

Some of our sites are big enough for larger RV's able to stay for a dry camping trip.

We offer Tipis& Glamping Tents perfect for a couple or a small family of 4. We also have cabins that will fit larger families, dozens of riverside campsites and dispersed camping.

We have a little lake on the property with canoes that is perfect for children's fishing.

Since we live on the Colorado River, we have fishing for big boys and girls too with a Colorado fishing license.

Come stay with us this summer, we can't wait to have you!
