Description
Tumey Hills is a stretch of rolling BLM range in California's inner Coast Ranges, where ancient seabed geology and open grassland meet just west of I-5 via unpaved Panoche Road. The turnround area sits at the end of a rough access track — passable for longer rigs and vans, though the road demands some patience — and includes a pit toilet. The area is closed to vehicles during fire season (roughly May through October), making the cooler months the window for an overnight here.
