Bailey Cove Campground sits along Highway 299 within Shasta National Forest, operating from mid-May through December under US Forest Service management. The facility provides nine campsites with drinking water, restrooms, picnic tables, and trash service, though reviewers note the sites sit close together and highway noise carries through the area.
Campers report narrow site spacing and variable water levels that can limit lake access during dry periods. The $30 nightly fee requires reservations, and the location serves as a functional overnight stop for travelers needing basic amenities. Forest Service management maintains the grounds, though some visitors have encountered booking discrepancies between online availability and actual site occupancy.
