Secret Valley Safety Roadside Rest Area — US-395

The Secret Valley Safety Roadside Rest Area is a small Caltrans-maintained stop on US-395 in Lassen County, located roughly 12 miles south of Ravendale in northeastern California. The site offers pit toilets (non-potable water only) and bidirectional highway access, with a handful of car spaces on the west side of the road and a larger pull-off across the highway suitable for big rigs and RVs. Overnight stops are generally tolerated here, though the lot surface is noticeably uneven, highway truck traffic passes through overnight, and the stop can fill up during summer months.
