Riverside Campground & Cabins

River access drives the appeal at Riverside Campground & Cabins, where sites either back up to flowing water or sit under tree cover. The private campground provides full hookups for RVs alongside walk-in tent options, though campers report the dirt sites run small and close together. Restrooms and shower facilities show their age, according to recent visitors.

The on-site store stocks camping supplies and food basics. Site 27 offers direct river access with hookups, while tree-shaded spots provide different camping experiences. Rates range from $75-$250 per night depending on site type and season. Staff may offer discounts for late arrivals when occupancy allows. The campground sits near places to camp around Big Sur and close to Pfeiffer State Park for additional recreation opportunities.

A river runs through it

This was an interesting place.  It's nestled near a river, with small, dirt sites.  The restrooms and showers were very dated (we decided not to shower.  It was a little more expensive than I'd like to have paid for what we got.

Beautiful Location

The campsites are either on the river or under the trees. The bathrooms are well maintained and the shop is well stocked with food and supplies. It is right near Pfeiffer state park and you will be staying in the redwoods. The campsites are a little close together and our neighbors were pretty loud and had their headlights on our campsite the whole night. I wish they did a little bit more to enforce quiet hours.

Beautiful campgroun d

We stayed one night here, pulled up right before they closed the store. She helped us out and because it wasn’t super booked up, we got to chose where we wanted to camp. We stayed on site 27 with hookup with the river behind it. It was perfect She gave us a $15off discount for arriving right before 5pm. Total was $98.09 with tax. There is Laundry and showers A little more on the pricier side for what we are used to but it was a nice treat
