Hike-in access and no developed facilities keep crowds thin at this dispersed site along Piute Creek in Sierra National Forest. The campsite sits in a forested area beside the creek, where a pine-needle floor and surrounding rocks provide workable tent setup options. Water from the creek is nearby, though it runs cold. Campfires and pets are permitted. Campers continuing along the Piute Pass Trail will pass through Humphrey's Basin and can connect to Muir Trail Ranch and the broader John Muir Trail corridor, making this a practical overnight stop for through-hikers routing out of the backcountry.
