    Good spot to regroup

After a 3 week long roadtrip hauling a trailer, Durango Resort was a nice change from our usual wooded or beach campsites. We chose it for its convenient location on our route, and for its sparkling pool and hot tub, which was a huge win for our kids. No fire rings at the sites, but nice communal fire area overlooking the Sac River. It was our first time at an RV resort, but won’t be our last!

    Hidden Gem!

Only $55 for a full hookup that’s a pull through. $50 for Good Sam Members. We came in too late to enjoy the comedy shows they have every first Saturday. If you happen to make it on time, “Carlinos” or the place the host it is in the North Tower. Go right at the main entrance. We missed it by wandering around the casino trying to find it. There are also amazing views at sunset and sunrise if you get to the lots closer to the end- which we didn’t. Great front desk staff! They also have routine patrol security.

Laundry: $2.00 for washing machines and $1.00 for dryers. Must be done by 10 pm with the last load starting at 8 pm.

Showers: $15/person- not included in RV fee

Dump station: $10- only from 9am- 5 pm, although each site has sewer hookups.

No wifi, but I’m not upset because the price was great and I had good cell coverage.

    No bad!

We travel with 2 dogs in a 38’ class A with a tow. We did not make reservations just took a chance, success! The woman at the counter was very nice and cheerful they did have a spot that we would fit without unhitching. This is an older park so we were somewhat squished together but not bad. Very nice dog area (not fenced). Seemed to be mostly long term river’s here. Not bad for a one night stay. Those with longer rigs 40+ may want to think twice because of the tight turns and narrow lanes

    Shady tree canapy

We stayed there long term after Paradise Camp Fire. Many spaces had their own private grassy areas, which management took care of. We had pottd plants and yrd art and potted veggies. .y site didn't have a cemented space but there was an old picnic table and it was small gravel so easy to get trailer leveled. Allowed to put up a dog containment fence, outdoor screened room on the awning and a small storage shed. We also started a community veggie garden where residents could plot their own veggies. Many spaces are spacious and ours backed up into a wooded area. Our neutered cat loved to roam the woods at night. Pool is refreshing but there are a lot of kiddos, so don't expect quiet "no splashing" moments unless it's a dinner time. Bathroom/showers/pool area are clean, grounds are green and colorful with flowers, there's a club house used for parties and management puts on Christmas and Halloween events. There's a newly built sunshaded playground for the kids, ultimate course on grounds and a small boat ramp nearby to Sac River for fishing access. I wouldn't launch my kayaks or paddleboards due to under currents, but that's just me. I prefer Whiskeytown and Shasta Lake for kayaking/paddle boarding. Overall, I had a wonderful year staying there. Rules aren't so rigid that it makes it uncomfortable. Basic common sense and common RV etticate are expected, like picking up after your pooch, don't let you barker bark too long without duct taping (just kidding) doing something about it, keep area clean and not junked out and just chill out.

    So far so good !!

Will update review after I stay. Owners were very nice while booking. I called to confirm availability as sometimes sites online don’t match what’s really available. She told me everything I would need to know. And made sure to take my name so she could see it as soon as it came in. It’s a RV park , campsite, restaurant and bar on the river. Update : Loved this place. Is exactly as described. It’s a lovely meadow next to an RV park. Perfect little trail that lead right to a beach on the river !!!

Quiet park with a serene riverfront spots

We called the same day and they were able to give us a spot. We have a 26 ft travel trailer and mid size pick up. They have sites ranging from basic rv with water and electric along with sites with full hookups. Showers and restroom on site for use that are clean and tidy. The pool was not open the first week of October when we visited. That was my only disappointment. It’s still 80 degrees during October a nice dip would be refreshing after being on the road traveling with children. Laundry is on site. Would recommend to others traveling along the interstate.

    Nice quiet RV park

I have stayed here several times as a waypoint on my travels between California to Washington. It is a nice safe quiet park that has many pull through spaces for RVs spending the night. I have used their website to reserve a space and then pick up the paperwork outside the door of their office. so far I haven’t met any of the owners or staff but all the hook ups work and I believe they have Wi-Fi as well.

    Pretty Park on the River!

Green & leafy campground right on the Sacramento River! Full hookups (30 amp), with very clean bathhouse and a community lodge available during the day and also picnic and grill area. There's also a fish cleaning station and a seasonal fishing dock and water access to a small beach for dipping your toes in. If you like to walk, there's access to the wildlife refuge and the county river park, both next door. Lovely and Serene!

    Nice little spot

We enjoyed a pull thru full hookup spot. We had our dogs and 5 year old with us. There was a fair amount of space between sites. We all enjoyed a meal at the steak house. After we let mama gamble as my daughter and I enjoyed the arcade, then we switched. If we need to get away for a night, I can see us coming back here again.

    Pros, Cons, Wouldn’t Come Back

Pros: Sites are spread out. The campground is well maintained with beautiful landscape and access/view of river. Full hookups.

Cons: I can hear a gun range and a freeway. Basically in town, so not feeling like I’m enjoying nature.

My husband doesn’t mind the other noises, and the site is beautiful to look at, but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a serene escape.

Quiet spot off I5, clean restrooms

Tent camped here a few nights ago. A little spendy at $37 for a single night but it is super close to I5 and a few gas stations. Nice property with some grass to throw the tent on, none of the other residents were super loud. Restrooms and showers onsite and they were both clean. Didn't get to talk to any of the  property managers in person due to COVID-19, but the woman on the phone who did the booking was super helpful. Seems like a better for RV camping as there are many more spots for that.

    Ghost town

Just a place to park next to curb and hook up electricity. $20 dumping fee. Rv only. Not sure the overnight price or even where to register. When things are normal they have a nice Rodeo in April and a really weak monster truck event. They have many buildings that are used for arts and crafts and a few areas for livestock events. They have an amazing bull and gelding sale annually and you surely don't wanna miss that. Bring your cowboy boots and hat and you will fit right in.

    Would have been fine but...

We didn’t want to chance it! We tried but were unable to make same-day online reservations and no one answered the phone at 4 pm. It would have been a two-hour drive to get to this place from where we were but with all the wildfires in recent years in this part of California, many campgrounds have closed. The most recent review on The Dyrt was a year ago and we could not find any information on the web regarding the state of this campground. After securing alternate arrangements, we visited to see what it looked like. The grass was already dry (but had recently been mowed), and the bathroom/shower was a little dated, but otherwise, it looked like a very nice place to camp. All sites were paved and looked flat, although several were closed. Each site had a picnic table but no hookups. We rarely see propane canister recycling so this was a bonus!

Hopefully, this updated review will help other campers (at least before the 2022 fire season) if they are looking for a place to camp.

They have a pool.  Pull through spots.   Have residence park owners.   They were courteous and left lights on while I set up my motorhome for the night.  It is by the freeway and there is noise but not too bad.  Good transit park to rest the night. Would stay there again.

    Great Quiet Campground

This is a gem in Red Bluff. CA. You are minutes from I-5 but it is impossible to hear the traffic. Right on the Sacramento River and the skies are remarkably dark.

We paid $8 per night for a site with our Interagency Senior Pass, no hookups. There are some sites with water and electric for $25 or $12.50 with pass. No sewer dump available.

I did not use the showers or bathrooms. Quarters required for a hot shower. Husband says bathroom was clean.

Beautiful old sycamore trees give this park lots of shade in the hotter months and provide a peaceful setting even in the winter months.

It is only about an hour to Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center at Lassen NP.

In November when we stayed, there were maybe four or five other campers.

We would definitely return when we are driving thru.

    Cute little campground

The road is pretty rough. Even with our tiny 15 ft trailer we had a little trouble with some bumbs. Its right off the main road so there was some road noise but it’s such a quiet road that it was pretty minimal. The cal-fire stations was right in front so we kept hearing the radio and a constant beeping coming from the station. There was some sort of event there the week before and sadly the place was kind of trashed. Shoes and clothes left in one campground, trash, bottle caps, etc, There’s no hook ups and it is a no host campground for just $12/night. The only way I would come back is if we could get spot #1. it’s to the left of the main loop and completely secluded from the rest of the campground wIth a lIttle creek runnIng jIst a short walk away. Bonus was that we were the only people there during the week! I have a feeling it may be more of a party campground during the weekend though.

You feel farther away than you are.

This is a great campground in Mendocino NF. It's about an hour away from Willows, CA on I-5 but you feel like you're hours away from civilization. Campsites have pull-through's for trailers and back-in's for tent campers. The pit toilets are very clean, trash service is twice a week, and right now there is no water as there is a leak in the pipes they haven't been able to find. There are 2 ponds for fishing trout and the upper pond is usually stocked each year. The campsite #12 has a beautiful meadow behind it with deer that pass through. The downside for us is there isn't much nearby to do. A great place to spend a night or day or a great place if you're looking for quiet in nature. No reservations and I haven't ever seen this campground full. It does get busier around deer season with hunters.

    Nice Campground

My husband and I just stumbled upon this place because we needed a place to stay in the area for a couple of nights. Really nice camp hosts and facilities. All the amenities you will need at $31 a night. I didn’t see any hookups though for people with campers. You can use your generator though. They also have an America flag at each site which I really appreciate.
