Mojave National Preserve Dispersed near Granite Pass

Description

Open Mojave high-desert terrain west of Granite Pass offers a wide flat clearing with broad views and little shade. A metal fire ring marks the spot, and the area is roomy enough to accommodate multiple vans or small rigs. Access is via a dirt spur off Kelbaker Road — taking the second fork of the V-shaped approach makes for a noticeably smoother drive in.
