Hungry Valley State Vehicle Recreation Area sits within Los Padres National Forest near campgrounds near Lebec, managed by the US Forest Service and open year-round to drive-in campers. The area is large enough that sites with picnic tables, pergolas, and outhouses occupy fenced sections, while dry camping spots farther out provide more separation from other groups. OHV activity is constant, with riders visible and audible throughout the day and into the night. Amenities include toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and trash service. Pets are welcome. Coyotes are active in the area, particularly in the early morning hours.
