Deer Creek Campground is located in California Sierra National Forest. The campground is tucked under dense fir and pines along the shore of Huntington Lake and offers scenic lake views, especially during the annual sailboat regatta. Boats can be moored near some of the camp sites. There are two loops to this campground: one is more heavily forested with more sites along the lake, and the other has more open and sunny sites with closer access to the resort community of Lakeshore. All sites have a view of Huntington Lake.

Camping with family

Bathrooms and camp site was well maintained and clean. Only complaints was site 27 didn’t have to much shade during the day and the heavy equipment/construction during the night was pretty loud.

Everything in one

This was by far my favorite camping! Besides the lake being a one minute walk from your site they also had super clean restrooms with running water. The view of the lake is amazing! The drive up was nice too. The fishing was amazing!! Everyone with a license caught fish! There’s convenience stores nearby in case you forgot or need anything so that’s always a plus.
