Military Park Camp Roberts

Camp Roberts Military Park operates as a military-managed facility located on the historic Army National Guard base in central California. The campground provides basic RV hookups without standard amenities like picnic tables or fire rings, focusing on essential utilities rather than recreational features.

What sets this location apart is the base's military history exhibits, including tanks and helicopters that visitors can explore and climb on. The military equipment displays offer hands-on experiences that appeal particularly to families with children interested in military hardware. Campers seeking more traditional campground amenities might consider Locatelli Vineyards & Winery or other nearby options. The facility accepts reservations and allows pets, making it accessible for RV travelers interested in combining overnight stays with historical exploration.

Basic Campground with cool History

The campground was pretty basic with only hookups, no table or fire ring. No playground or amenities. But the cool thing was the history you could see and explore on the base. They had tanks and helicopters that you could climb in and touch. Our daughter loved it!
