At $14 per night with full hookups (electric, water, and sewer) for rigs up to 45 feet, Tinnemaha Creek Campground gives drive-in access to one of the more utilitarian spots managed by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power along the eastern Sierra corridor. Pit toilets serve the site, and the terrain runs open with creek frontage nearby. Anglers have noted the fishing, and sightlines reach toward the Sierra Nevada range. Taboose Creek Campground sits a few miles south for campers wanting a different setup.
Description
This family friendly campground is six miles from amenities in the town of Aberdeen. Nestled on the banks of Tinnemaha Creek, which is stocked with trout in the summer months, the campground offers unsurpassed views of the imposing Sierra Nevada front, and stunning, star-filled night skies. Nearby trails provide access to the Sierra High Country and its striking scenery, from tree-coved canyons to sprawling meadows. Surrounding public lands that offer hunting, hiking, climbing, biking and touring on ATVs down dirt roads.
