Rough road access and a 16-foot RV limit are the first things to know about Sugarfoot Campground, a US Forest Service site in Mendocino National Forest open from June through November. The campground sits near a creek and lake, with basic amenities including toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. Shade is limited: a previous storm left significant tree loss, and downed timber has historically reduced the number of usable sites. Cell service should not be counted on. Campers wanting a site with more reliable access might consider Kingsley Glade Campground, about 1.3 miles north.
Description
Small creek flows through camp early in the season (dry in late season). Camp is situated amidst oaks and ponderosa pines.
