Plumas National Forest
Formerly James Lee Campground
Free river camping by a closed school named Indian Jim, previously James Lee. Campground is legal to stay, but not maintained and river keeps washing parts away. Train on one side and highway on the other, tall grass and minimal river access due to vegetation. Not recommend for large trailers. Great tough trails nearby. Minimal gold but decent fishing and swimming. Not a good launch for kayaks, head further up river
