Ten sites spread through forested terrain make Grizzly Creek Campground a compact base for exploring the Plumas National Forest backcountry. The US Forest Service facility operates from mid-April through mid-October, though water service shuts off after Labor Day. Two sites accommodate 30-foot trailers, while the remaining spots work for smaller RVs, tent campers, and truck campers.
Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit with generous spacing between neighbors. Pit toilets sit near the entrance, and the $29 nightly fee drops to $14.50 with an America the Beautiful pass. Post-Labor Day visitors find notably fewer crowds, with deer hunters comprising much of the late-season clientele. The Bucks Lake Recreation Area sits two miles northeast for campers wanting lakefront access.
