Inyo National Forest's Boulder Campground sits along Poole Power Plant Road, the first of three campgrounds in sequence on that route. It is closed in October. Verizon signal is weak here, so download maps and reservations before arriving. RVs are limited to 30 feet. Campers positioning themselves for tent camping near Inyo National Forest or day trips into Yosemite will find this location functional, though the other campgrounds further along the road are generally preferred by returning visitors.
