Good Family Camping

If you would like solitude this may not be the place for you especially during the weekend. Good place to take the family during the weekend. Lots of kids and family’s. The Camp host was very helpful when I was there. A couple of trials to take advantage of here. One runs five miles around the park through oaks and tall grass. Benches and drinking fountains are available in parts of the trail. There is a lake you can fish at. It’s more of a pond but the camp host mentioned there is a plan to expand the lake this summer. This place has a huge park with slides and monkey bars and lots of place to run around in the park for dogs or kids. It also has many places to BBQ and seems like it can handle a large family reunion or a company picnic.. Happy and safe travels!!

Cool place.

Has bathrooms, and fire pits. Go early to get past gate. We got there after 5pm and no one was at the gate entrance. The gate pad was open luckily so we flipped the switch ourselves. make reservations online first. there is a creek nearby that has very light water. The area is very shady and open. No bear boxes. We were able to car camp here. there are people monitoring the area that come once a day in the morning. not crowded at all when I went. Nice weather
