Listen to that river

We came across this site and just thought it was time to stop for the night. We had the camp ground to ourselves which was great for the kids to run around. We walked across the road to the river to view the crystal clear water.

Set up at camp site #1, it had a little lean to the site for the tent but was very manageable. There are only 10 sites and it appeared that only a few were on top of each other. Our site was away from all of the others.

Bathrooms were very clean and well taken care of for being a vaulted toilet.

There was no running water, the water bibs were there but no water was turned on yet. I figured everything was still turned off from the winter.

It seemed that the seasonal clean up crew did a great job of cleaning the fire pits and cutting up the winter fallen trees. They cut them up and stacked the fire wood close to the fire pits. (You will need a axe to split) Great job to those guys, the place looked great.

Throughout the night you could hear trucks and cars sipping down the road. Every so often a few cars would drive through the camp ground going to the residence behind the grounds, but the sounds of the running river was awesome all night.

It was a honor pay station by the USDA Forest service. 6$ was an easy payment for a nice area to set up.
