Nice little spot!friendly fisherman and ranger.

The good: not far from civilization. Friendly folks. Quiet unless someone has a generator...bathrooms work and stocked with t.p.

The bad: Google maps takes you almost there and then it looks like you cannot continue because of road. The map is wrong. Keep going on road and you will find it!

Spring Break at Degray Lake State Park

Had a great stay!  the camping area we were in (De Roche Ridge) was fully redone a few years ago.  Great views as all sites were on the water.  We had our bikes and it was a short ride to the main part of the park.

Our first resort park 😍

From our stay in Mar 15 2021. Lots of activities here, we stayed at the De Roche Ridge campsite area, love the view of the lake no matter which site you stay and enjoyed beautiful sunsets from ours. Full hookups, level pads, clean and well maintained picnic benches, fire pits and grills.

My 3&5 yr old and myself really enjoyed degrey lake resort. There’s lots to do to keep my kiddos entertained. The beach is nice and lots of little play grounds. We went to the restaurant and they were super kid friendly. Really clean bath houses and camp sites. The staff was helpful as well and…

My fortress of Solitude

No frills. Bring everything. Quiet spots on the lake. If you have squeamish kids along, maybe bring a “Luggable Loo”, as the toilets get scarier after dark. Because it’s on BLM land, access can be closed by the government, like when a certain moron closed all National parks in 2013.

Possibly No Longer a Drive-In Site

I tried to car camp at the site but there was a decently tall dirt mound where the map told me to turn before getting on the final road leading to the campground. Long story short, it looks like there is a dirt road behind the tall mound blocking the path, so the park may have created this wall in…

Very clean resort

Even though this is a state park, it is a “resort” state park. Extremely built up and very clean park. One of our favorite parks in the Ouachita area and keep coming back!

Great spot

Only stayed one night but accommodations were great. No one was using any of the tent spots. No problem setting up hammock. Great views of the lake. Bathrooms very nice and clean. Very quite and looks like they have plenty to keep you busy. Would definitely recommend this spot.

My new favorite!

We will definitely be back. The park was sparkling clean and beautiful. We lucked into a water view site with a little trail going down to the lake. The site was spacious with plenty of room to spread out. Our spot wasn’t level, but it wasn’t too hard to fix. We saw deer in our campsite both…

A Gorgeous Nature Retreat!

Beautiful and Peaceful place on Degray Lake with mountains as a back drop. Lots of wildlife and very peaceful; the Bald Eagles are an extra treat.

Great location to access the mountain biking and hiking trails

This campground is more rustic than the other COE campgrounds I have stayed in at Degray Lake. It has two different options one near the lake and the one in reviewing which is up on a bluff overlooking the lake. This one is higher up so harder to actually access the lake but very convenient to the…

Nice campground

Lots of sites to choose from in this campground some closer together than others but a nice thing if you’re camping in a group. Several pull through sites and many back in sites as well as tent only sites. RV sites have water and electricity and a dump station nearby for overnight guests. Right now…

So nice I stayed twice! COE campground

Nice clean Army Corps of Engineers site. Beautiful location on a peninsula that overlooks the lake. Swimming/beach area away from the campground. Two campgrounds, one for tents only and one for RVs. Bathhouses with hot showers. Rustic but clean. Convenient to Hwy 7 and not far from Hot Springs,…
